For our sculpture project we were given a series of adjectives, we had to choose two from these. I chose 'Dense' and 'Made'. After spending time in the library researching these two words in the context of sculpture I discovered the artist Michael Johansson, who creates sculptures out of household items, taking away any previous purpose the object had. I have been looking at how the objects' primary purpose is just to fill a space. These are my first two explorations into this notion. I used items which I found in my bag for the first piece and items which I found in my student accommodation room for the second.
